Twelve published projects for Codelco: ten at the Chuquicamata smelter, one at the Potrerillos smelter of the Salvador Division, and the maintenance of electrostatic precipitators at the Chuquicamata and Ministro Hales divisions.
Working for Codelco means working to the standard of each Division. Safety protocols, maneuver windows and workforces defined by each contract.
All the projects published on this site are for Codelco. For the Chuquicamata Division, LTF has carried out ten projects at the smelter: on the Flash Furnace and its boiler, the acid plant, the casting wheels, dryer 6, the crane rails and the oxygen lines. For the Salvador Division, maintenance of the PH cranes, rail replacement and structural erection at the Potrerillos smelter. And for the Chuquicamata and Ministro Hales divisions, the maintenance of electrostatic precipitators, with 170 people on double shifts.
The projects combine shop fabrication, site installation, special welding, tests and inspections, with workforces of 50 to about 250 people depending on the contract. The LTF quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 by IRAM.

Fabrication at the Concón shop of boiler tube banks for the convection section of the Chuquicamata smelter boiler, from the receipt and inspection of the A192 tubes to the escorted dispatch of boiler bank No. 6.

Maintenance of the PH cranes in the smelter building, rail replacement, and fabrication and erection of structures at the Potrerillos smelter of Codelco Salvador, with a workforce of 75.

Replacement of casting wheels 3 and 4
Complete dismantling and installation of casting wheels 3 and 4 at the Chuquicamata smelter, from the spokes, rollers and racks to the hydraulic system, take-off and weighing scales, with commissioning and calibration. Workforce of 150 on double shifts.

Flash Furnace ancillary works contract
Ancillary works contract for the Chuquicamata Flash Furnace: ladle enclosures, fugitive gas system piping, copper launders, baghouse filters, electrically actuated valves and installation of the VTI and VTF units. About 250 people on double shifts.

Maintenance of electrostatic precipitators at the Chuquicamata and Ministro Hales divisions: cleaning and replacement of fields and electrodes, scraper conveyors, electrical systems and all internals, through to commissioning. A workforce of 170 people on double shifts.
