In the Potrerillos building, the work is done at height, on beams and platforms, and planned together with operations. Cranes, rails and structures for the Salvador Division smelter, with a crew of 75.
The Potrerillos smelter and refinery belongs to Codelco’s Salvador Division and sits in the Andean foothills of the Atacama Region. It processes concentrates from the Division itself and from other operations, and runs a Teniente converter and Peirce-Smith converters.
In its smelter building, LTF carried out maintenance of the PH cranes that travel along it, replaced the rails they run on, and fabricated and erected structures, with a workforce of 75. The job was recorded on photo and video in December 2025, together with the testimony of Nicolás, LTF mechanical advisor on structural erection.
