Oxygen enriches the air that feeds the smelting and converting processes of the smelter. For its distribution, LTF fabricated and installed 16, 20 and 24 inch lines at the Chuquicamata smelter.
The surface of the lines was prepared by white metal blasting, grade SSPC-SP5, before painting. Installation included the system flowmeters and ended with its pneumatic tests. The job was carried out with 50 people, with a telescopic crane for lifting the sections, and was recorded in November 2020.
