ASTM A192 is the standard covering seamless carbon steel tubes for boilers and superheaters in high-pressure service. It is the material of the serpentine coils in the banks of the boiler convection section.
In July 2025, the LTF shop in Concón received the lot of A192 tubes and the inlet and outlet headers for each bank, shipped from Argentina in two trucks. The quality team checked the lot against the purchase order and the technical specification; with the material released, the shop cut, sized, laid out on jigs and welded the serpentine coils of the banks.
