Context
Cristián García-Huidobro reached the summit of Everest on May 15, 1992, together with Rodrigo Jordán and Juan Sebastián Montes, by one of the most difficult routes on the mountain, the East Face. He was the first Chilean and South American to reach the highest summit in the world.
